Use the search bar on the DoctorBay homepage to find a specialist by name, specialty (e.g. cardiologist, dermatologist), suburb, or postcode. You can also browse by specialty using the specialty grid. Refine your results by state, suburb, or claim status.
View the Doctor's Profile
Click on any specialist to view their full profile — including their qualifications, practice locations, languages spoken, special clinical interests, and verified patient reviews. Profiles with a 'Verified Practice' badge have been claimed and confirmed by the doctor themselves.
Read Verified Reviews
Browse patient reviews rated across five key categories: Bedside Manner, Knowledge & Expertise, Communication, Wait Time, and Staff Friendliness. Every review shown has been verified by our team to ensure it comes from a genuine patient.
Contact the Practice
Once you have chosen your specialist, call their practice directly using the phone number shown on their profile. Connect directly to a GP for a referral letter to book a specialist appointment under Medicare. DoctorBay connects you with the right information.
Leave a Review
After your appointment, share your experience to help other patients. Click 'Write a Review' on any specialist's profile. You'll be asked to rate across five categories and provide a brief written review. We'll verify your review before publishing it.
For Doctors
Your Profile is Already Listed
If you are a registered specialist in Australia, you are likely already listed on DoctorBay based on publicly available AHPRA data. Search for your name to find your existing profile.
Claim Your Profile
Click 'Claim Your Profile' on your listing or visit the Claim page. Submit your details and a verification method (AHPRA number, practice email, etc.). Our admin team reviews all claims within 1–3 business days.
Manage Your Information
Once approved, log in to your Doctor Portal to update your biography, practice locations, phone numbers, languages spoken, qualifications, and special interests. You can also add a profile photo.
Respond to Reviews
Engage professionally with patient reviews directly from your portal. Responding to reviews — both positive and constructive — helps build trust with prospective patients.
Share Your QR Code
Every doctor receives a personalised QR code. Download and print it on your appointment cards or website to share your details with patients.
